Live Music ft. Jay Byrd on the Patio

Jason (Jay) Byrd has been a professional guitarist, singer, and songwriter since his late teens. In his early twenties, he co-founded the blues-rock trio The Groov with Kerry Brooks, and in 1996 joined the then-Grateful Dead cover band Wavy Train. Byrd's original songs and guitar work helped Wavy Train to forge a sound that combined pop-oriented melodies with extended improvisation. After moving to the Washington, DC area in 2001, Jason began crafting songs with a decidedly Americana bent. An award-winning songwriter (NewSong, Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, Bernard-Ebb Finalist), Jason continues to write and perform original roots-influenced music. Jay’s new album, At Home Again (2022) is now available on CD and on all streaming platforms.

Live Music ft. The Walkaways on the Patio

The Walkaways are a metropolitan DC-based band, making original music since 2006 with a sound that has been called "alt-country" (Washington Post, Washington City Paper, Washingtonian Magazine). Their songs draw even more broadly, however, from Americana, folk, roots rock, country, indie, and classic rock. Key influences include Ryan Adams, Son Volt, Wilco, Springsteen, Uncle Tupelo, Josh Ritter, The Band, and Old 97s.

Live Music ft. Adrian Duke Project on the Patio

Adrian Duke Project (duo) is a piano player/singer/ songwriter in the New Orleans musical tradition of Professor Longhair, James Booker & Dr. John. Add to that voice that is infused with a startling imprint of early Atlantic sides of Ray Charles, and what you get just begins to describe what’s in Duke’s bag as a performer and composer. Where New Orleans blues, classic soul, and American collide is where he lives.
